vCard is the universal contact-card format — the same .vcf file you'd attach to an email. A vCard QR embeds the full RFC 2426 vCard 3.0 payload so a phone camera recognises it as a contact and offers Add to Contacts directly, no app switch needed.

Sales teams print vCard QRs on the back of business cards; conference attendees stick them to badges; founders pin them in email signatures and on speaker slides. Long fields push the QR version up, so each unused field is dropped from the payload to keep the code as small (and as scannable) as possible.

This generator builds the RFC 2426 text and runs the QR encoder locally — your contact details never reach a server. Only name is strictly required; everything else is optional. For long addresses prefer the Medium or Large size so the symbol scans reliably.
