Free Online QR Code Generator
A QR code generator encodes a URL, text, WiFi credentials, or vCard contact into a 2D barcode and exports it as PNG or SVG.
Your data is processed entirely in your browser and never sent to any server.
How to Use This QR Tool
- Pick the content type tab — URL, text, WiFi, or vCard.
- Fill in the fields the chosen payload needs.
- The QR code renders live in the preview panel.
- Click Download PNG or Download SVG to save it.
What Is a QR Code Generator?
QR codes follow the ISO/IEC 18004 standard and carry their payload at one of four error-correction levels — L (~7% recovery), M (~15%), Q (~25%), and H (~30%). Higher levels survive smudges and partial damage; lower levels keep the symbol small enough to scan from a phone screen.
This generator picks the right payload encoding for each content type — `WIFI:T:WPA;S:...;P:...;;` for WiFi credentials, the full RFC 2426 vCard 3.0 block for contacts, plain URLs for links, and byte-mode for arbitrary text. Marketing teams use it for poster QR codes, hospitality teams for WiFi cards, salespeople for badge contacts.
Everything runs locally — the content you encode never leaves your browser. Output ships as PNG (for screens and ink-jet printing) and SVG (for vector artwork that scales cleanly at any size).
