What Is a GPA Calculator?

GPA = Σ(gradePoints × credits) ÷ Σ(credits). The standard US conversion is A = 4.0, A− = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, B− = 2.7, C+ = 2.3, C = 2.0, D = 1.0, F = 0.0. Weighted GPAs add 0.5 for honors and 1.0 for AP/IB courses, so a weighted GPA can exceed 4.0; unweighted GPAs cap at 4.0.
