What Is a Shoe Size Converter?

Shoe sizing is not standardised across regions and even differs by gender within the same region. US sizes increment in roughly 1/3-inch steps; UK uses similar steps but offsets the count by about half a size. EU sizes use Paris points (1 point = 2/3 cm). Japan and the CM column both report foot length directly in centimetres, which is the most physically meaningful.

Travellers shopping at outlet stores abroad, parents buying for kids from international brands and runners ordering shoes shipped from Europe all need the cross-reference. A US men's 10 is roughly UK 9.5, EU 44, JP 28 cm. A US women's 8 is roughly UK 6, EU 38.5, JP 24 cm.

This tool ships separate Men and Women tables so the same numeric size in the US column lands on the right row. Brand-specific sizing still varies — treat the result as the starting point, then check the brand's own chart for fit.
